Volunteer for Treasurer for the CCA
We are looking for a dedicated individual to work with our bookkeeper to perform the following duties and responsibilities outlined below.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Makes sure all monies paid to the Association are deposited in a chartered bank, treasury branch or trust company chosen by the Board and the funds need to be CDIC (Canadian Deposit Insurance Corporation) insured, including investments.
- Makes sure annual fees are collected promptly and deposited into the Associations financial accounts.
- Prepares and tracks the Annual Operating Budget with the assistance of the Bookkeeper.
- Makes sure a detailed account of revenues and expenditures is presented to the Board as requested, and at least monthly(prepared by bookkeeper).
- Is responsible for the accurate detailed accounting required for all grants, casinos and other fund-raising ventures(with the assistance of the bookkeeper).
- Is responsible for all financial records for the Association.
- Makes sure an audited statement of the financial position of the Association is prepared by the bookkeeper and presented at the Annual General Meeting.
- Carries out other duties assigned by the Board.
- Is one (1) of the two (2) signing authorities on all financial instruments unless signed by the President in the Treasurer’s absence.
