Volunteer Communications Coordinator
We’re looking for a new board member volunteer who can take the Newsletter Editor role and transform it into a full-fledged Communications Director position, focusing on using all available forms of engagement, as well as increasing our visibility with our local residents.
We currently publish the Southeast Life monthly newsletter that is mailed to all residents each month, operate a busy Facebook page with over 3000 followers, and maintain our WordPress-based website at cmcommunity.ca. We need to explore other forms of engagement, like email newsletters and newer forms of social media like TikTok and Instagram to ensure we are reaching as many residents as possible.
The commitment involves attendance of our board meeting (3rd Thursday of every month except July and December), compiling the newsletter content, responding to Facebook inquiries and sourcing content to share, and updating the website.
You must be motivated and well-organized, with strong communication skills and attention to detail.
